The Youth College Scholarship Program of the Housing Authority of the City of Orange (HACO) was established for children whose families are receiving public or housing assistance. In the spirit of community responsibility and to promote academic excellence, HACO encourages their youth to apply and to continue the road to success.
Students attending or planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or special vocational programs must submit their scholarship application to HACO’s College Scholarship Committee in order to be considered for an award. The Scholarship committee is responsible for verifying all students’ required documents and determining the award recipients.
The College Scholarship Fund is established through charitable donations to the Housing Authority of the City of Orange and the Orange Housing Development Corporation. The Scholarship fund is offered once a year and administered through HACO’s Scholarship Committee. The awarded funds will be used to pay for the student’s tuition, books and approved activity fees.
