MINUTES FROM AN ANNUAL MEETING APRIL 16, 2015 

An Annual Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Orange was called to order at 6:03 p.m. on April 16, 2015 in the Community Room of Walter G. Alexander, 105 Wilson Place, Orange, New Jersey. The Executive Director advised that all requirements of the Sunshine Law were met. A roll call was taken as follows:

Commissioner Tracey Latta

Chairman Coram Rimes

 

The pledge of allegiance was said.

 

Vice Chairman Williams called for a motion to adopt the agenda. Commissioner Ross moved to adopt the agenda. Commissioner Juliano seconded.

 

Vice Chairman Williams called for discussion

A roll call was taken

All Commissioners voted in favor

 

Vice Chairman Williams called for a motion to make Mr. Ernest Booker temporary Chairman to conduct the Annual meeting.  Commissioner Ross moved to adopt.  Commissioner Juliano seconded.

 

RESOLUTIONS

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to adopt Resolution No. 5332-15 Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Orange Nomination for the Position of Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of the City of Orange for a one year term beginning April16, 2105.

 

Commissioner Ross nominated Coram Rimes

Commissioner Juliano seconded the nomination

(No other names were offered)

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to close nominations.  Commissioner Ross motioned to close the nominations. Commissioner Latta seconded.

 

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for discussion

No discussion

A roll call was taken

All Commissioners voted in favor

 

Commissioner Rimes was voted in as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.

 

Acting Chairman Booker validated Commissioner Rimes as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to adopt Resolution No. 5333-15 Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Orange Nomination for the Position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of the City of Orange for a one year term beginning April 16, 2015.

 

Commissioner Williams nominated Commissioner Ross

Commissioner Juliano seconded the nomination.

(No other names were offered)

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to close nominations.  Commissioner Latta moved to close the nominations.  Commissioner Juliano seconded.

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for discussion

No discussion

A roll call was taken

All Commissioners voted in favor

 

Acting Chairman Booker validated Commissioner Ross as Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.

 

Commissioner Ross motioned to close the nominations. Commissioner Latta seconded.

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to adopt Resolution No. 5334-15 Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Orange Nomination for the Position of Treasurer of the Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of the City of Orange for a one year term beginning April 16, 2015.

 

Commissioner Williams nominated himself

Commissioner Latta seconded the nomination

(No other names were offered)

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to close nominations.  Commissioner Williams moved to close the nominations.  Commissioner Latta seconded.

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for discussion

No discussion

A roll call was taken

All Commissioners voted in favor

 

Acting Chairman Booker validated Commissioner Williams as Treasurer of the Board of Commissioners.

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to adopt Resolution No. 5335-15 Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Orange Nomination for the Position of Parliamentarian of the Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of the City of Orange for a one year term beginning April 16, 2105.

 

Commissioner Latta nominated Commissioner Juliano

Commissioner Ross seconded the nomination

(No other names were offered)

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to close nominations.  Commissioner Latta moved to close the nominations.  Commissioner McLeod seconded.

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for discussion

No discussion

A roll call was taken

All Commissioners voted in favor

 

Acting Chairman Booker validated Commissioner Juliano as Parliamentarian of the Board of Commissioners.

 

Acting Chairman Booker called for a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Commissioner Williams moved to adjourn. Commissioner Latta seconded.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
