Application for Section 8 Waiting List 2022

The Housing Authority of the City of Orange announces the opening of our Section 8 waiting list online Monday, September 26, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. and will close on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 8:59 a.m. Pre-applications will be entered into a “Lottery System” and will be randomly selected for placement on the waiting list by computer-generated third-party software. Written notification of accepted eligible applicants may take several weeks. Be prepared to provide the following information: Name, sex, age, social security numbers (for all household members), email address, all household income, and your address.

Please understand that the confirmation number you receive indicates that you have successfully completed the online application ONLY. Receiving a confirmation number does not guarantee that you have been selected for the waitlist.

Note: Applicants must notify the Orange Housing Authority in writing of any changes from your original application.  Inquires must be in writing to ohawaitlists8@haconj.org or US mail to Orange Housing Authority, HCV Program, 340 Thomas Boulevard, Orange, NJ 07050.
